Our studio designed the retail space of the new Galyfianakis pastry shop in Athens, Greece. The entire shop layout has been designed by Eurof design.
Our goal was to craft the identity of the new store by applying the finishing touches on the surfaces of its interior and exterior, choosing the color palette and the equipment materials, as well as designing the facade that separates the retail space from the bakery.
To underline the classic flavors and traditional recipes of the brand, we chose an elegant palette with ivory and warm grey colors, dark wood, grey marble and pale gold.
Due to the narrow rectangular plan of the store, the main furniture is a 10m counter, which is fully exposed to the main facade of the shop looking on Mesogion Avenue.
The main two design elements of the shop are the 10m glass-topped, pleated wood display cases (which are also refrigerators) filled with pastries and the interior glass-metal facade that allows fragmented views of the pastry preparation. These items are highlighted, with the rest of the shop having ivory colour tones. The interior also features custom wall lights designed by our studio.
The retro design of the facade and the entrance are a reference to the history of the brand.
