Vet clinic

This project is a vet clinic located at the crowded Eftichidou street, a main street in Pangrati neighborhood in central Athens.

Eftichidou features polykatoikia buildings, with their ground floors hosting commercial uses. This  results in a string of small shop facades, signs and advertisements.

The transparent glass façade of the vet clinic highlights the non-commercial character of the space and gives the impression of making a step back from the urban facade.

The interior consists of a narrow shaped plan of 37m2. A second facade is designed in the interior, separating the waiting room from the treatment room. Semi-transparent glass panels limit the visibility to the doctor’s office and the examining room, offering privacy for the medical treatment.  The waiting room is located at the front part of the space, exposed to the street view.

The material and color pallete were chosen with a minimal clean medical space in mind. The layout was designed to allow flexible movement for the doctor and the pets.
